How do I choose the right facial for my first visit?
We recommend starting with our Bloom Facial, which is suitable for all skin types. During your visit, we’ll perform a full consultation to understand your skin and goals, recommend products for your home routine, and guide you toward the best treatments for long-term results. All of our facials are customized, so you can feel confident choosing any service.
What should I do before my facial appointment?
We kindly ask that you arrive with clean skin and no makeup. Please discontinue the use of retinol and other active ingredients at least 5 days prior to your appointment.
How should I prepare my skin before a facial?
Avoid harsh scrubs, retinol, or strong active ingredients for at least 5 days before your facial. Wear SPF daily, and on the day of your appointment, there is no need to complete your full skincare routine. A light layer of SPF is enough.
What is the downtime after a facial?
Most of our facials are non-invasive and require little to no downtime. After your treatment, we recommend the following for 5–7 days:
- Avoid hot water on the face
- Avoid saunas for 24–48 hours
- Avoid sweating for 24 hours
- Do not pick or touch the skin
- Clean makeup brushes, pillowcases, and your phone
- Avoid makeup for 24 hours if possible
Please note: Microneedling and VI Peels require different aftercare and downtime.
Can I return to my normal skincare routine after a facial?
We recommend using only hydrating and repairing products for 5–7 days after your facial. Avoid scrubs, retinol, and exfoliating ingredients during this time. Always apply SPF in the morning and reapply every 2 hours when outdoors. Your esthetician can recommend the best products for your skin.
Microneedling and VI Peels require different aftercare instructions.
What if I break out after a facial?
Facials help detox and stimulate the skin, which can occasionally lead to minor breakouts. This is normal and typically resolves within a day or two.
How often should I get a facial?
For best results, we typically recommend a facial every 4–6 weeks. However, this can vary depending on your skin type, concerns, and treatment plan. Your esthetician will guide you on the ideal schedule to maintain healthy, glowing skin.
Are your facials safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes. All treatments at Bloom Aesthetics Spa are customized to your skin type and concerns. We regularly treat sensitive, acne-prone, and reactive skin, and carefully adjust products and techniques to ensure safe, effective results.
Can I add enhancements to my facial?
Yes. Many of our facials can be enhanced with add-ons such as dermaplaning, LED light therapy, or targeted cooling treatments. Your esthetician will recommend the best options based on your skin and goals.
Can I wear makeup after my facial?
We recommend avoiding makeup for at least 24 hours after your facial when possible, so your skin can fully absorb the benefits of the treatment and recover properly.
Can I get a facial while pregnant?
Yes, many facials are safe during pregnancy. Your treatment will be customized to avoid certain ingredients and ensure both safety and comfort. Please let us know if you are pregnant before your appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged 100% of the scheduled service.
- 48+ hours notice: no fee
- Less than 24 hours: 100% cancellation fee
- Same-day appointments: 6 hours notice required
- Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in cancellation and a fee
